John and I went for a look around the lower slopes of the Sierra de Loja where we checked out the lower quarry and then up to the Middle Quarry where we had a walk along the track back down to the turning point.

We parked up by the Middle Quarry and walked back down the hill, on the way we saw a very nice

Common Swift (Vencejo Común / Apus apus), Common Kestrel (Cernicalo Vulgar / Falco tinnunculus), Great Tit (Carbonera Común / Parus major), Brown Bluebell (Dipcadi serotinum), Small White (

Southern Blue (Polyommatus celina),
Bath White (Pontia daplidice),
Mallow Skipper (Carcharodus alceae),
Southern Marbled Skipper (Carcharodus baeticus) and
Southern Gatekeeper (Pyronia cecilia).

We dropped down off the Hill and headed along the Motorway to Loreto and then down to the Rio Genil near there where we went for a short walk along the river finding
