A morning walk with Paqui down the Fields and an evening visit to the Birthplace of the Riofrio.

Paqui and I headed off early and were down on the fields before dawn and watched the Sun come up, whilst we were there we recorded
Mallard (Anade Azulón / Anas platyrhynchos),
Common Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus),
Eurasian Collared Dove (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto), 2x
Common Snipe (Agachadiza Común / Gallinago gallinago) and a
Green Sandpiper (Andarrios Grande / Tringa ochropus) which flew up off the small area of water in the Arroyo,
Western Cattle Egret (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis),
Grey Heron (Garza Real / Ardea cinerea), a group of migrating European Bee-eaters (Abejaruco Europeo / Merops apiaster),
Iberian Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki),
Eurasian Magpie (Urraca Común / Pica pica),
Eurasian Blue (Herrerillo Común / Cyanistes caeruleus) and Great Tit (Carbonera Común / Parus major), Crested Lark (Cogujada Común / Galerida cristata),
Zitting Cisticola (Cistícola Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), lots of
Barn Swallows (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica) moving through west with a few
Red-rumped (Golondrina Dáurica / Cecropis daurica),
Western House Martin (Avión Común Occidental / Delichon urbicum),

Cetti's (Cetia Ruiseñor / Cettia cetti) and

Later in the evening I met Paqui in Loja and we went off to Riofrio where we parked and walked out to the Nacimiento de Riofrío, below this in one of the pools Paqui had a dip and I managed a bit of a paddle but the water was absolutely freezing.
Whilst there we saw Southern Brown Argus (Aricia cramera), Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea), European Pied Flycatcher (Papamoscas Cerrojillo / Ficedula hypoleuca), European Robin (Petirrojo Europeo / Erithacus rubecula) and Long-tailed Tit (Mito Común / Aegithalos caudatus) before we headed off.
