Huétor Fields, Granada Province, Spain.

A late walk along the Lucerne Fields after a long day cleaning after a week redecorating the bedroom.
Ebird List for the Fields.

The Sierra Nevada from the Fields.
After spending a week decorating the smaller bedroom upstairs following the rains I had made quite a mess so I spent the day cleaning and finishing off, later I sorted the rest of the house out as it was a tad dusty.
I finished the task and felt I wanted to do a walk, so I headed out the fields and parked near the gate where I spent a while saw on the bank watching the superb newly arrived Montagu's Harriers (Aguilucho Cenizo / Circus pygargus) and by the time I finished watching them I had counted 8 ♀♀ and 6 ♂♂.
Montagu's Harriers (Aguilucho Cenizo / Circus pygargus) .

Some of the birds were using the two new wooden post that I am assuming had been put in by Medio Ambiente over the last few days after I asked Juan to contact the authorities about the site.
Other species seen whilst I sat there and while I walked with Paqui when she arrived included Common Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), Eurasian Collared Dove (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Europeo / Merops apiaster) x4, Eurasian Magpie (Urraca Común / Pica pica), Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), Western House Martin (Avión Común Occidental / Delichon urbicum), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), European Stonechat (Tarabilla Europea / Saxicola rubicola), House Sparrow (Gorrión Común / Passer domesticus), Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae), Meadow Pipit (Bisbita Pratense / Anthus pratensis) and Corn Bunting (Escribano Triguero / Emberiza calandra).

We returned to my car near the gate, then I returned Paqui to hers before I headed off back to the house and crashed in an untidy heap for the rest of the night.
