Dusky Heath (Coenonympha dorus).
The three of us went up for a walk around the lower loop, on the way to the parking spot we found Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua), Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), Common (Urraca / Pica pica) and Iberian  Magpie (Rabilargo / Cyanopica cooki) and Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus).
On the loop we saw Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Común / Merops apiaster), Golden Oriole (Oropéndola / Oriolus oriolus), Thekla Lark (Cogujada Montesina / Galerida theklae), Western Orphean (Curruca Mirlona / Sylvia hortensis), Dartford (Curruca Rabilarga / Sylvia undata) and Bonelli's Warbler (Mosquitero Papialbo / Phylloscopus bonelli), Serin (Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Common Chaffinch (Pinzón Vulgar / Fringilla coelebs), Greenfinch (Verderón Común / Carduelis chloris), Goldfinch (Jilguero / Carduelis carduelis), Short-toed Treecreeper (Agateador Común / Certhia brachydactyla), Firecrest (Reyezuelo Listado / Regulus ignicapillus), Black Wheatear (Collalba Negra / Oenanthe leucura) and Common Crossbill (Piquituerto Común / Loxia curvirostra).
We also saw at least 2x Dusky Heath (Coenonympha dorus) x2, Long-tailed Blue (Lampides baeticus) x4, Bath (Pontia daplidice) x6 and Small White (Pieris rapae) x8,  Spanish Gatekeeper (Pyronia bathsheba) x3, Rosy Grizzled Skipper (Pyrgus onopordi) x1 which was a new species for John.
Wildflowers were few as most had been burnt of early by the heat but we did see Common Chicory (Cichorium intybus), Scarlet Pimpernel (Anagallis arvensis),  Common Gorse (Ulex europaeus), Mallow-leaved Convolvulus (Convolvulus althaeoides), Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris), Common stork's bill (Erodium ciconium), Grey-leaved Cistus (Cistus albidus), Wild Clary (Salvia verbenaca) and Yellow Phlomis (Phlomis lychnitis).
We spent the rest of the day relaxing and then had a nice meal up on the terrace during the evening.
