A morning checking the Moths, a very wet drive home and a walk around the fields.

Dave and I headed out to record the moths that had come in over night, over all we were quite pleased as the over night weather was bad and it dropped quite cold.

Whilst checking the traps we also saw Great Spotted Cuckoo (Crialo Europeo / Clamator gladarius), Eurasian Hoopoe (Abubilla Común / Upupa epops), Iberian Grey Shrike (Alcaudón Real / Lanius meridionalis), Red-billed Chough (Chova Piquirroja / Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax), Thekla's (Cogujada Montesina / Galerida theklae) and Mediterranean Short-toed Lark (Terrera Marismena / Alaudala rufescens), Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), European Stonechat (Tarabilla Europea / Saxicola rubicola), Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Curruca melanocephala), Black (Collalba Negra / Oenanthe leucura) and Western Black-eared Wheatear (Collalba Rubia Occidental / Oenanthe hispanica), Common Linnet (Pardillo Común / Linaria cannabina) and Rock Sparrow (Gorrión Chillón / Petronia petronia).

Once we had sorted the Moths we headed for some breakfast and the back towards the house through some pretty horrendous rain, once back in Huétor I got a replacement Tyre on the car and then went up to the house where Dave was already getting sorted.

Later Dave headed off up Sierra Nevada to put out some more lights and I went down the fields for a walk and after parking at the Walnut trees I did a walk around to the area where I usually park.

I returned home and as I walked through the door I could smell electrical burning so I turned everything off and eventually found that the fuse for the bottom room had burnt out and the wires had melted, everything else still works fine which is good as I am struggling to get an electrician to come out.
