Getting ready for our next adventure.
Australia, Day Fifty Four.
Today was spent around the farm getting some of the kit ready for our next trip out into the wilds but whilst doing this I still picked up the regular species around the place including Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla), Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus), Superb Fairywren (Malurus cyaneus), New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae), Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen), House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), Little Raven (Corvus mellori), Eurasian Blackbird (Turdus merula), Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris), Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys) and Small White (Pieris rapae).
Later we went down to see where the Cows were and as we passed the first dam I picked up Pacific Black Duck (Anas superciliosa), Australasian Grebe (Tachybaptus novaehollandiae), Dusky Moorhen (Gallinula tenebrosa), Eurasian Coot (Fulica atra), Little Pied Cormorant (Microcarbo melanoleucos), Australian Ibis (Threskiornis molucca), European Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis), Magpie-lark (Grallina cyanoleuca), New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae) and Red Wattlebird (Anthochaera carunculata).
During the afternoon we went down to the shed and hitched up the boat ready for a day fishing tomorrow down on the Coorong and had the pair of Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena) flying around us.
I spent quite a bit of the afternoon on the Laptop catching up with things but still saw a fast moving male Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), Wedge-tailed Eagle (Aquila audax) x2, Grey Fantail (Rhipidura albiscapa), Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans), White-browed Scrubwren (Sericornis frontalis) and Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera).
