Eagle View, South Australia.

Back out in the Hay Meadows.
Australia, Day Fifty Two.

View from the Terrace.

Woke at 07:30 to the calls of the usual stuff like Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen), Little Raven (Corvus mellori), Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus), Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera) and Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla).
White-necked Heron (Ardea pacifica) on the Dam.

After breakfast I picked up Superb Fairywren (Malurus cyaneus), Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), Crested Pigeon (Ocyphaps lophotes), New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae), White-browed Scrubwren (Sericornis frontalis), Grey Shrikethrush (Colluricincla harmonica), Grey Fantail (Rhipidura albiscapa), Common Starling (Sturnus vulgaris), Eurasian Blackbird (Turdus merula), House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) and European Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis) whilst feeding the Chucks.
White-necked Heron (Ardea pacifica).
Later Ian and I went just along the road to do some repairs to the fencing around the Paddocks where the Sheep were grazing, whilst there we saw and heard Shining Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx lucidus), Black-faced Cuckooshrike (Coracina novaehollandiae), Eurasian Skylark (Alauda arvensis), Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena), Tree Martin (Petrochelidon nigricans), Australasian Pipit (Anthus novaeseelandiae), Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys), Western Grey Kangaroo (Macropus fuliginosus fuliginosus) and Small White (Pieris rapae).
We came back up to the house and I did a bit of fire season clearing along the fence lines whilst Ian racked the hay ready for bailing later in the day.
White-necked Heron (Ardea pacifica).
We had lunch and a break out on the terrace which was when a White-necked Heron (Ardea pacifica) flew in, circled a couple of times and dropped into the dam and started to feed on the Tadpoles.
This was quite exciting as it was a new species for Deb and Ian's farm.
Ian went and bailed the hay and Deb and I started to sort it into the shed which didn't take as long as expected, we then did the watering and then I chilled watching the 50+ Tree Martins coming in for the egg shells as they do most days.
White-necked Heron (Ardea pacifica).
Just before 17:00 I noticed that the White-necked Heron must have filled up on tadpoles and was off which gave me the chance of some flight shots.
