Home, near Huétor Tajar, Granada Province, Spain.

A morning in the garden and the rest of the day out on the Terrace.
Ebird List for garden.
Ebird List for Fields.

I finished off the main cleaning up and weeding in the garden this morning and after a shower and a trip to the bakery I set up camp out on the terrace for the rest of the day where I saw my first Provence Orange-tip (Anthocharis euphenodes) of the summer along with Iberian Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides feisthameli), Holly Blue (Celastrina argiolus),
Bird wise I recorded Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), Collared Dove (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto), Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), Blackcap (Curruca Capirotada / Sylvia atricailla), Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Sylvia melanocephala), Serin (Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Goldfinch (Jilguero / Carduelis carduelis), House Sparrow (Gorrión Común / Passer domesticus), House Martin (Avión Común / Delichon urbica), Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), Crested Lark (Cogujada / Galerida cristata) and Great Tit (Carbonera Común / Parus major).
The Perez's Frogs (Rana Común / Pelophylax perezi) in the pool were extreamly vocal at times but when the wind got up dring the afternoon they went quite and I packed up and went for a walk down to the Lucerne Fileds, species of interest included Common Whitethroat (Curruca Zarcera / Sylvia communis) my first for the year, Black-winged Kite (Elanio Común / Elanus caeruleus) x2, Little Bustard (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax) x1 female, Little Ringed Plover (Chorlitejo Chico / Charadrius dubius), Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua), Woodchat Shrike (Alcaudón Común / Lanius senator), Mistle Thrush (Zorzal Charlo / Turdus viscivorus) x2 and Sand Martin (Avión Zapador / Riparia riparia) as well as Small White (Pieris rapae) x2, Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) x1, Clouded Yellow (Colias corceua) x3, a very smart Swallowtail (Papilio machaon) and Hummingbird Hawkmoth (Macroglossum stellatarum).
