Huétor hit by bad flooding from the Genil Valley.
 |
| The Gentleman who dug us out. |
After a second wet and windy night the rain stopped briefly for an hour or two this morning, so I thought I would try to get down to Huétor to see how things were.
 |
| Between the trees is where the Rio Genil should be. |
It was sad to see how many houses had been affected by the flooding from the Rio Genil to the South of the town and the Arroyo Vilano to the North.
 |
| Inside the Ring Road, where most of the flooded houses are, Mercodona off in the distance which I think was closed as the car park was flooded. |
As I was walking around I did see a few bird species which included

Common Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus),
Eurasian Collared Dove (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto),

 |
| The next area of rain arriving from the West, so I scuttled back to the car. |
I got back to the house and caught up with a few bits of sorting before chilling.
