Travelling to Madrid.

Well, Shit Happens as the saying goes.
Deb and Ian, Day Sixty One.

We spent the morning getting ready for our trip up to Madrid where we were staying overnight before Deb and Ian's flight back home in the morning.
On the way up we saw Common Buzzard (Busardo Ratonero / Buteo buteo), Western Marsh Harrier (Aguilucho Lagunero Occidental / Circus aeruginosus), Griffon (Bultre Leonado / Gyps fulvus) and Cinereous Vulture (Buitre Negro / Aegypius monachus), Common Kestrel (Cernicalo Vulgar / Falco tinnunculus), Yellow-legged Gull (Gaviota Patiamarilla / Larus Michahellis), Western Cattle Egret (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis), Common Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), Eurasian Collared Dove (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto), Western Jackdaw (Grajilla occidental / Corvus monedula), Eurasian Magpie (Urraca Común / Pica pica) and Iberian  Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki), Western House Martin (Avión Común Occidental / Delichon urbicum), Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), Crested Lark (Cogujada Común / Galerida cristata) and Corn Bunting (Escribano Triguero / Emberiza calandra).
All was going well until Deb got an email from Iberian airlines to say their flight was Cancelled which obviously throw a ****ING great big spanner in the works.
We were an hour from the hotel and we had already paid so we continued on and checked in.
Later we went for a couple beers, which came with a sting in the tail when we got the bill as a beer was more than twice the price of back home and we didn't get any Tapa's.
Deb and Ian looking more positive than expected, as they say SHIT Happens.
We returned to the accommodation via a local supermarket where we grabbed some pre-packed Salads, we went out on to the terrace to eat them and then turned in early as Deb was going to have to be up in the middle of the night to try and sort something with their travel agent back in Australia as Iberia wanted nothing to do with it all, as usual.
