As the Sandgrouse started to arrive Deb walked back to the hide where Ian was keeping an eye on the drinking Grouse as they were dropping in onto a rocky area of the Margin which was out of view from where I was, I still continued on down the road until I reached the left turn where the track goes along the Northern side of the Laguna.

At this spot we also had Eurasian Hoopoe (Abubilla Común / Upupa epops) and Common Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos) before we did the drive through the vines out to the main car park at Tablas where we could hear a calling  in the Tamarisks near the visitors center so we tried to get views of it and as we were doing this we had a very nice Cardinal Fritillary (Argynnis pandora), Agapanthia irrorata and lots of Red-veined Darters (Sympetrum fonscolombii).

We quickened our pace a bit as there was more rain coming in but spent a while trying to get shots of a Common Nightingale before returning to the car and then going to have some food in Daimel which was when I realised that I had made a big cock up with the accommodation for the night here, I had some how booked it for the right date but the wrong year and as the place we were going to stay at was full I had to do a frantic search for somewhere else, I remembered a place I had stayed one before which was out a bit but very nice and I managed to get us in there and I was surprised that it was actually only €20 more than the place in the town.
Common Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos)

After eating we headed to the accommodation and booked in before returning to Laguna Navaseca but this time we checked out the whole loop around the reserve and added
Black-tailed Godwit (Aguja Colinegra / Limosa limosa), Collared Pratincole (Canastera Común / Glareola pratincola), Savi's Warbler (Buscarla Unicolor / Locustella luscinoides), Common Linnet (Pardillo Común / Linaria cannabina) and Corn Bunting (Escribano Triguero / Emberiza calandra) to the mornings list.
Barn Swallows (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica).
Eurasian Spoonbill (Espátula Común / Platalea leucorodia).
Gadwall (Anade Friso / Mareca strepera).
We also had better views of a nice
Great Reed Warbler, before we went back into Daimiel for some food as the rawer than expected Lunch time burgers left Deb and Ian hungry, on the way in to town we had a nice Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua) and another in the dark on the drive back to the accommodation.
