Rio Genil, Huétor Tajar and Huétor Fields, Granada Province, Spain.

A walk along the Western end of the Genil and a quick look at the Fields.
Ebird List for Genil West.

Eurasian Stone Curlew (Alcaraván Común / Burhinus oedicnemus).
I started the morning with a Coffee in town and then a walk along the Rio Genil heading west from the Bridge at Huétor Tajar, after parking I walked down as far as the end of the track near the service area on the A92 and turned around.
During the whole walk there was an horrendous amount of gun fire as the tiny todger brigade displayed their bravery by blasted huge amounts of defenseless Spanish wildlife to oblivion.
Eurasian Stone Curlew (Alcaraván Común / Burhinus oedicnemus).
As I walked I did see Common Kingfisher (Martin Pescador Común / Alcedo atthis), Great Spotted Woodpecker (Pico Picapinos / Dendrocopos major), Iberian  Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki), Eurasian Skylark (Alondra Común / Alauda arvensis), Cetti's Warbler (Cetia Ruiseñor / Cettia cetti), Song Thrush (Zorzal Común / Turdus philomelos) and Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea).
Eurasian Stone Curlew (Alcaraván Común / Burhinus oedicnemus).
On my way back to the house I popped into see if there were any of the Little Bustards (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax) on there usual fields but they were still missing, however there were a good number (60+) of roosting Eurasian Stone Curlews (Alcaraván Común / Burhinus oedicnemus).
White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba).
The rest of the day was spent cleaning out some of the kitchen cupboards, a long over due job going by the use-by dates 😁😁😁
