Near Fuente del Conde in Cordoba Province and Cerro Hacho in Granada Province, Spain.

A morning in the Hide of Birding Iznájar and a quick visit to Cerro Hacho.

View from the hide.
I was up early and soon on my way towards Iznajar hoping that the bar near the meeting point was going to be open but unfortunately it wasn't so I just sat on the roadside and waited for Rubén to arrive, once he was there we made our way to the hide which was about 10 minutes away down some narrow tracks, on the way I saw a Common Buzzard (Busardo Ratonero / Buteo buteo) sat up on one Pylons.
Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea).
Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea).
The time at the hide was interesting but a struggle as the birds just didn't want to play, probably due to there being so much other water around the pool didn't have its usual appeal.

I did get some nice shots of a female
Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea) and saw European Robin (Petirrojo Europeo / Erithacus rubecula), Common Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), Common Chaffinch (Pinzón Vulgar / Fringilla coelebs), European Goldfinch (Jilguero Europeo / Carduelis carduelis), European Greenfinch (Verderón Común / Chloris chloris), Common Chiffchaff (Mosquitero Común / Phylloscopus collybita), Eurasian Blackcap (Curruca Capirotada / Curruca capirotada), Eurasian Blue (Herrerillo Común / Cyanistes caeruleus) and Great Tit (Carbonera Común / Parus major), Eurasian Magpie (Urraca Común / Pica pica), House Sparrow (Gorrión Común / Passer domesticus) and Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Curruca melanocephala).

Male House Sparrow (Gorrión Común / Passer domesticus).

On my way home I popped into Cerro Hacho briefly, on the drive up to the parking spot I flushed a huge female Northern Goshawk (Azor Común / Accipitor gentillis) and at the puddle I saw and heard European Goldfinch, European Serin (Serin Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Common Crossbill (Piquituerto Común / Loxia curvirostra) and Short-toed Treecreeper (Agateador Europeo / Certhia brachydactyla).
