A walk around the fields.

After giving the terrace a good clean up I went down to the fields for a walk, during the tidy up I heard both
European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Común / Merops apiaster) and
Eurasian Golden Oriole (Oropéndola Europea / Oriolus oriolus).

I parked in the usual spot and then walked out to the Crossroads, turned right and then right again back along the river and back to the car along the Lucerne fields.

I had not dropped below +24 all night so things were fairly quiet, best species were
Black-winged Kite (Elanio Común / Elanus caeruleus), Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua),
European Bee-eater,
Eurasian Stone Curlew (Alcaraván Común / Burhinus oedicnemus),
European Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur),
Woodchat Shrike (Alcaudón Común / Lanius senator),
Eurasian Golden Oriole,
Iberian Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki),
Zitting Cisticola (Cistícola Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), Red-rumped Swallow (Golondrina Dáurica / Hirundo daurica),
Common Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos), Spanish (Yellow) (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae) 3 adult and 4 immature and
White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba) and
Corn Bunting (Triguero / Emberiza calandra).

Other species seen included
Perez's Frog (Rana Común / Pelophylax perezi), Small White (
Pieris rapae) x1,
Lang's Short-tailed (Leptotes pirithous) x3 and
Southern Blue (Polyommatus celina) x1.
