A short walk along the Lucerne Fields.

I went straight down to the fields after getting up and parked in my usual spot before doing the walk along the Lucerne fields and out to the crossroads and back, interesting birds included
Eurasian Turtle Doves (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur) in good numbers,
Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua) x2,
European Bee-eaters (Abejaruco Común / Merops apiaster),
Eurasian Golden Oriole (Oropéndola Europea / Oriolus oriolus),
Woodchat Shrike (Alcaudón Común / Lanius senator),
Iberian Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki),
Red-rumped Swallow (Golondrina Dáurica / Hirundo daurica),
Eurasian Tree Sparrow (Gorrión Molinero / Passer montanus), Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae) and 2
Black Kites (Milano Negro / Milvus migrans) which moved west across the patch, the first return migrants.

Other species included
Common Chicory (Cichorium intybus),
Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris), Red-veined Darter (Sympetrum fonscolombii) x8, Small White (
Pieris rapae) x5 and
Lang's Short-tailed Blue (Leptotes pirithous) x2.
