I was down on the fields before 08:00 and parked at the Walnut trees so that I could walk the fields with the sun behind me as it was still quite low, species of interest included good numbers of Turtle Doves (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), 12x Western Cattle Egret (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis), 2x Black Kite (Milano Negro / Milvus migrans), Kingfisher (Martin Pescador / Alcedo atthis), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Común / Merops apiaster), Reed Warbler (Carricero Común / Acrocephalus scrpaceus), Woodchat Shrike (Alcaudón Común / Lanius senator), Cetti's Warbler (Ruisenor Bastardo / Cettia cetti), Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos), Corn Bunting (Triguero / Emberiza calandra), Common Waxbill (Estrilda Ondulada / Estrilda astrild) and Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae).
