A day at home which was finishing nicely with a walk with Paqui.

I spent most of the day at home getting on with a few jobs, later in the day Paqui picked me up, we then headed out to the Presa where we spent most of the visit sat by the side of the River.

Whilst there we saw Mallard (Anade Azulón / Anas platyrhynchos), Common Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), European Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), Common Swift (Vencejo Común / Apus apus), Grey (Garza Real / Ardea cinerea) and 2x Black-crowned Night Herons (Marinete Común / Nycticorax nycticorax), Bonelli's (Aguila Perdicera / Aquila faciatus) and Short-toed Snake Eagle (Culebrera Europeo / Circaetus gallicus), Common Buzzard (Busardo Ratonero / Buteo buteo) x2, Eurasian Hoopoe (Abubilla Común / Upupa epops), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Europeo / Merops apiaster), Barn (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica) and Red-rumped Swallow (Golondrina Dáurica / Cecropis daurica), Cetti's (Cetia Ruiseñor / Cettia cetti) and Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Curruca melanocephala), Common Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos), Common Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), Iberian Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki), Eurasian Wren (Chochin paleártico / Troglodytes troglodytes), Eurasian Blue Tit (Herrerillo Común / Cyanistes caeruleus), White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba), Common Chaffinch (Pinzón Vulgar / Fringilla coelebs) and quite a large Iberian Barbel (Luciobarbus bocagei).

We did a short walk along the track seeing Short-toed Treecreeper (Agateador Europeo / Certhia brachydactyla), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor) and Eurasian Wryneck (Torcecuello / Jynx torquilla).

On the way back towards my house we made a stop to photograph the Sunset and whilst we were doing that we heard Eurasian Stone Curlew (Alcaraván Común / Burhinus oedicnemus), Eurasian Scops Owl (Autillo Europeo / Otus scops), Red-necked Nightjar (Chotacabras Cuellirrojo / Caprimulgus ruficollis) before heading to El Peñasco Pizzería and then back to Paqui's.
