A morning walk with Paqui, later I strolled along the Rio Genil and had a nice finish to day with Paqui at the Dam on the Genil.

I met Paqui down at the Lucerne fields where we did our usual walk out to the Gate and back again checking in on the Montagu's Harrier (Aguilucho Cenizo / Circus pygargus) which were fairly active.

We also picked up Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus), Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui), Perez's Frog (Rana Común / Pelophylax perezi), Common Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), Eurasian Collared (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto) and European Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), Little Ringed Plover (Chorlitejo Chico / Thinornis dubius), Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), Western House Martin (Avión Común Occidental / Delichon urbicum), Common Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos), Common Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), European Stonechat (Tarabilla Europea / Saxicola rubicola), Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Curruca melanocephala), Zitting Cisticola (Cistícola Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), Eurasian Magpie (Urraca Común / Pica pica), Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae), Crested Lark (Cogujada Común / Galerida cristata), European Goldfinch (Jilguero Europeo / Carduelis carduelis) and Corn Bunting (Escribano Triguero / Emberiza calandra).

I left Paqui and headed down to the Rio Genil and walked both to the west of the bridge and then to the East, species added included European Turtle Dove, Eurasian Hoopoe (Abubilla Común / Upupa epops), Eurasian Golden Oriole (Oropéndola Europea / Oriolus oriolus), Eurasian Blue (Herrerillo Común / Cyanistes caeruleus) and Great Tit (Carbonera Común / Parus major), Common Nightingale, European Robin (Petirrojo Europeo / Erithacus rubecula), Cetti's (Cetia Ruiseñor / Cettia cetti) and Sardinian Warbler, Short-toed Treecreeper (Agateador Europeo / Certhia brachydactyla), Eurasian Wren (Chochin paleártico / Troglodytes troglodytes), White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba), Common Chaffinch (Pinzón Vulgar / Fringilla coelebs), Common Waxbill (Estrilda Ondulada / Estrilda astrild), European Greenfinch (Verderón Común / Chloris chloris) and European Serin (Serin Verdecillo / Serinus serinus).

Later I met up with Paqui again, we headed out to the Presa y Meandros del Genil where we sat by the river and chilled and as we were there we saw Mallard (Anade Azulón / Anas platyrhynchos), European Turtle Dove, Little Ringed Plover, Grey Heron (Garza Real / Ardea cinerea), Common Swift (Vencejo Común / Apus apus), Barn and Red-rumped Swallow (Golondrina Dáurica / Cecropis daurica), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Europeo / Merops apiaster), Eurasian Golden Oriole, Eurasian Wryneck (Torcecuello / Jynx torquilla), Western Jackdaw (Grajilla occidental / Corvus monedula), Iberian Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki), Common Nightingale, Eurasian Blackcap (Curruca Capirotada / Curruca capirotada), Short-toed Treecreeper, Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea), Iberian Barbel (Luciobarbus bocagei) and Rabbit (Conejo / Oryctolagus cuniculus).
