A full day up at La Lancha.

After breakfast we headed straight out to the La Lancha area, on the way we saw Angel's tears Narcissus (Narcissus coronatus), a group of 4 Wild Boar (Jabalí / Felis silvestris) running through the Oaks and several Roe Deer (Corzo / Capreolus capreolus).

Once we were at the shelter we had a walk before settling in to scan the area again, today we saw

Fallow (Gamo común / Dama dama) and
Red Deer (Ciervo común / Cervus elaphus), 2 more
Wild Boar,
Rabbit (Conejo / Oryctolagus cuniculus), Western Dappled White (Euchloe crameri) x25+,
Cleopatra (Gonepteryx cleopatra) x2,
Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus) x4,
Small Heath (Coenonympha pamphilus) x18+,
Small Copper (Lycaena phlaeas) x2,
Large Tortoiseshell (Nymphalis polychloros) x1 and
Andalucian Wall Lizard (Podarcis vaucheri). |

Bird wise we recorded Cinereous (Buitre Negro / Aegypius monachus) and
Griffon Vulture (Bultre Leonado / Gyps fulvus), Iberian Imperial Eagle (Aguila Imperial Ibérica / Aguila adalberti),
Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua),
Iberian Green Woodpecker (Pito ibérico / Picus sharpei),
Iberian Grey Shrike (Alcaudón Real / Lanius meridionalis),
Iberian Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki),
Red-billed Chough (Chova Piquirroja / Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax),
European Crested Tit (Herrerillo Capuchino / Lophophanes cristatus),
Woodlark (Alondra Totovía / Lullula arborea),
Eurasian Crag Martin (Avión Roquero / Ptyonoprogne rupestris),
Dartford Warbler (Curruca Rabilarga / Curruca undata),
Song Thrush (Zorzal Común / Turdus philomelos) and
Rock Bunting (Escribano Montesino / Emberiza cia) but unfortunately there were no
Iberian Lynx (lince iberico / Lynx pardina) sightings.

We left the area just before 18:00 and headed back to La Caracola where we again had a nice meal before hitting the pit.
