Huétor Fields, Granada Province, Spain.

No sign of the Bulbul but he Little Bustards are showing well.

Little Bustards (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax) x3.
I was popping down to Huétor to get some bread when I noticed a couple of cars and a guy with a scope at the spot for the Common Bulbul (Bulbul Naranjero / Pycnonotus barbatus) so I drove round to see them. They had been there for a while and there was no sign of the bird but there was the group of Little Bustards (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax) out on the Lucerne fields as well as lots of Meadow Pipits (Bisbita Pratense / Anthus pratensis), Skylark (Alondra Común / Alauda arvensis), Goldfinch (Jilguero Europeo / Carduelis carduelis), Serin (Serin Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Linnet (Pardillo Común / Carduelis cannabina), Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata), White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba) and Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor).
Little Bustards (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax) x3.
I left the two birders to it and headed back through the mud on my way down to Huetor, later I returned to the spot but again I did not see the Bulbul but I did get Western Cattle Egret (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis), Bluethroat (Ruiseñor Pechiazul / Luscinia svecica), Black Redstart (Colirrojo Tizón / Phoenicurus ochruros), Cetti's Warbler (Cetia Ruiseñor / Cettia cetti), Green Sandpiper (Andarrios Grande / Tringa ochropus) and Snipe (Agachadiza Común / Gallinago gallinago).
Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata).
