An hour with some special dragons.

Dark Spreadwings (Lestes macrostigma).

On our way to do some shopping in Malaga area I managed an hour in a ditch with quite a few Dark Spreadwings (Lestes macrostigma) but they were very flighty and difficult to get some shots of.

In the same area there were loads of teneral Red-veined Darter (Sympetrum fonscolombii) and quite a few Iberian Blue-tail (Ischnura graellsii) of different colour phases.

In the same area there were Zitting Cisticola (Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), Yellow-legged Gull (Gaviota Patiamarilla / Larus Michahellis), Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), Serin (Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Sylvia melanocephala), Red-rumped (Golondrina Dáurica / Hirudo daurica) and Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), House Martin (Avión Común / Delichon urbica), Jackdaw (Grajilla / Corvus monedula), Monk Parakeet (Cotorra Argentina / Myiopsitta monachus), Pallid Swift (Vencejo Pálido /Apus pallidus), Hoopoe (Abubilla / Upupa epops), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Común / Merops apiaster), Crested Lark (Cogujada / Galerida cristata) and Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata).

There were also a few butterflies including Bath White (Pontia daplidice), Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus), Small Copper (Lycaena phlaeas), Small White (Pieris rapae) and Southern Blue (Polyommatus celina).
