I was down on the fields at 09.00 and walked out to the Huétor Junction again and then along to the bridge and back to the car via the fields again.

Interesting species included 800+ Woodpigeons (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), 20 odd Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), Woodchat Shrike (Alcaudón Común / Lanius senator), Melodious Warbler (Zarcero Común / Hippolais polyglotta), 6x Black Kite (Milano Negro / Milvus migrans), Western Cattle Egret (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis), Hoopoe (Abubilla / Upupa epops), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Común / Merops apiaster), Golden Oriole (Oropéndola / Oriolus oriolus), Reed Warbler (Carricero Común / Acrocephalus scrpaceus), Zitting Cisticola (Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), Red-rumped Swallow (Golondrina Dáurica / Hirundo daurica), Bonelli's Warbler (Mosquitero Papialbo / Phylloscopus bonelli), Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata), Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos), Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata), Common Waxbill (Estrilda Ondulada / Estrilda astrild) and Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae).

As I walked I also saw Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus) x3, Iberian Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides feisthameli) x1 and 2x Long-tailed Blue (Lampides boeticus).
