After the big fire we had over a Deb's Moms yesterday we went back over to rake the ashes up and check the animals and whilst there we spent some time watching a pair of White-naped Honeyeaters (Melithreptus lunatus) build their nest in one of the Birch trees.
We also saw New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae), Superb Fairywren (Malurus cyaneus), Black-faced Cuckooshrike (Coracina novaehollandiae), Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys) and heard the Shining Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx lucidus).
Later back at Eagle View we saw Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen), Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), Straw-necked Ibis (Threskiornis spinicollis), Eurasian Blackbird (Turdus merula), Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae), House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla), Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans), Musk (Glossopsitta concinna) and Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus), Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera), White-browed Scrubwren (Sericornis frontalis), Grey Shrikethrush (Colluricincla harmonica), Tree Martin (Petrochelidon nigricans), Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena) and European Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis).
