Sunday 10 January 2010

Home near Huétor Tajar, Granada Province, Spain.

Well I suppose it makes a change from the rain.

From the garden.
It started to snow at about 10:00 and it was still falling as night fell. It looks great but it does create some problems, a lot of drivers over here do not allow for the weather in the driving method and a phone call from a friend who had been stuck on the A 92 for five hours due to the amount of accidents proves the point.
Out front.
Over the olives.
The Olive harvesters were working first thing this morning but they soon packed in complaining about the cold.

Oh my word - you've got as much snow as I have back in Bristol! Glad we flew back Friday and didn't wait until Sunday

Hi Mick, good start to the year! The snow was a shock but now the rain has washed it away, things should be interesting...I wnder if the floods wil attract special species? Will you be out this weekend counting gulls?

Anyway, I'm back now so maybe we can do some birding soon?

Take care
