Back down on the fields for a walk.

Poplars at the far end of my walk this morning.

I was down on the fields early as I wanted to get the guest accommodation decorating finished today (which I did), I parked at my usual spot and walked out to the poplars, turned around and then turned left towards Huétor and then right along the Arroyo Vilano back to the car.

Zitting Cisticola (Cistícola Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis).

Birds included Western Cattle Egret (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis), good numbers of European Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), a single Common Swift (Vencejo Común / Apus apus), European Bee-eater (Abejaruco Europeo / Merops apiaster), Eurasian Golden Oriole (Oropéndola Europea / Oriolus oriolus), Iberian  Magpie (Rabilargo Ibérico / Cyanopica cooki), Zitting Cisticola (Cistícola Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), Melodious (Zarcero políglota / Hippolais polyglotta) and Common Reed Warbler (Carricero Común / Acrocephalus scrpaceus), Common Nightingale (Ruisenor Común / Luscinia megarhynchos), Common Waxbill (Estrilda Ondulada / Estrilda astrild), Corn Bunting (Escribano Triguero / Emberiza calandra) and Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae).

Iberian Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides feisthameli).

Other species seen included several Red-veined Darters (Sympetrum fonscolombii) x12+, Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus) x2, Iberian Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides feisthameli) x1 and Lang's Short-tailed Blue (Leptotes pirithous) x1.

I returned home and finished the painting and cleaning up in the bottom room  before returning the car back to Chris and Wayne, on my walk back down to the house I photographed another Red-veined Darter and saw Southern Blue (Polyommatus celina) x1, Small White (Pieris rapae) x1 and Rabbits (Conejo / Oryctolagus cuniculus).
