I was up early which I didn't like much after a late night in Loja with friend Beth but I had to drop the car back down to the Garage and then walk back home.

On the Southern side of the town I picked up Barn Swallow (Golondrina Común / Hirundo rustica), House Martin (Avión Común / Delichon urbica), Common Swift (Vencejo Común / Apus apus), Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea), Little Ringed Plover (Chorlitejo Chico / Charadrius dubius) and on the river there were lots of Domestic Geese and Ducks but also Cetti's Warbler (Ruisenor Bastardo / Cettia cetti), White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba) and Perez's Frog (Rana Común / Pelophylax perezi).

I had some breakfast on my way through Huétor before walking the fields to the north of the town adding Turtle Dove (Tórtola Europea / Streptopelia turtur), Montagu's Harrier (Aguilucho Cenizo / Circus pygargus), Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae), Hoopoe (Abubilla / Upupa epops), Golden Oriole (Oropéndola / Oriolus oriolus), Iberian  Magpie (Rabilargo / Cyanopica cooki), Greater Short-toed Lark (Terrera Común / Calandrella brachydactyla), Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua), Little Bustard (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax), Black-winged Kite (Elanio Común / Elanus caeruleus), Booted Eagle (Aguililla Calzada / Hieraaetus pennatus), Common Kestrel (Cernicalo Vulgar / Falco tinnunculus), Zitting Cisticola (Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis), Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae) including several immature birds and Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Sylvia melanocephala).

On the walk I also saw Bath White (Pontia daplidice) x5, Clouded Yellow (Colias corceua) x2, Small Copper (Lycaena phlaeas) x2, Small White (Pieris rapae) x14, Southern Brown Argus (Aricia cramera) x1, Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria) x2 and Wall Brown (Lasiommata megera) x1.
