Eagle View and along the Coorong, South Australia.

Around the farm and then out on the boat.

The Dunes as we crossed to the Beach from Godfreys Landing.
We started the day around the farm doing the feeding and bits seeing Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus), Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera), Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla), House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys), Grey Fantail (Rhipidura albiscapa), Grey Shrikethrush (Colluricincla harmonica), Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen), New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae) and later we called in at Deb's Moms to drop the dogs off before we headed gown to the Coorong.

On the way we saw Pacific Black Duck (Anas superciliosa), Straw-necked Ibis (Threskiornis spinicollis), Little Raven (Corvus mellori), Silver Gull (Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae), Cape Barren Geese (Cereopsis novaehollandiae), Common Bronzewing (Phaps chalcoptera), Crested Pigeon (Ocyphaps lophotes) and Western Grey Kangaroo (Macropus fuliginosus fuliginosus).

Once we reached the Mundoo Channel Boat Ramp Ian got the Boat ready whilst Deb and I scanned the river seeing Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides), Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus), Little Pied Cormorant (Microcarbo melanoleucos), Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena), Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) and Australian Ibis (Threskiornis molucca).

Once out on the boat Ian took us around to the mouth of the Murry River where we saw big numbers of Pelicans and Cormorants on the sand and in the water before dropping us off at Godfreys Landing, on the way out to the mouth and to the Landing we saw Great White Egret (Ardea alba), Grey Teal (Anas gracilis), Australian Shelduck (Tadorna tadornoides), Hoary-headed (Poliocephalus poliocephalus) and Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus), Great Crested Tern (Thalasseus bergii) and White-faced Heron (Egretta novaehollandiae).

Once we were on land again Ian headed off fishing and we crossed the dunes to the beach, on the way we saw Emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae), Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus axillaris), Common Bronzewing, Pied Oystercatcher (Haematopus longirostris), Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida), Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo), Whistling Kite (Haliastur sphenurus), Swamp Harrier (Circus approximans), Singing Honeyeater (Gavicalis virescens), Little Raven (Corvus mellori), Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys), Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis), 3x Rufous Bristlebirds (Dasyornis broadbenti) as well as Australian Emperor (Anax papuensis), Caper White (Belenois aurota) and Marbled Xenica (Geitoneura klugii).

Out on the beach we saw a large flock of waders a good way off but we decided to have a walk and see what they were, almost all the birds were Red-necked Stints (Calidris ruficollis) but mixed in with them there was at least one Sanderling (Calidris alba).

Other species seen before we returned to the landing included Caspian Tern (Hydroprogne caspia), Pacific Gull (Larus pacificus) and Red-capped Plover (Charadrius ruficapillus).

We met Ian who had a successful couple of hours fishing catching several Australian Salmon (Arripis trutta) and then headed back up to the farm via the very good bakery in Goolwa where we had a nice coffee and a cake.
