Jones Road Dam, East and North of Adelaide, but I don't know where Exactly, South Austarlia.

A visiting day with great results.
Australia, Day Seventy Six.
Ebird List for Jones Road Dam.

Tawny Frogmouths (Podargus strigoides).

Well to say the weather was mix was a tad of an understatement but we were still out there seeing new species, we were going to visit a spot where we were told that we stood a good chance of seeing Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) but instead Deb gave friend Greg a ring to see if he knew a spot and he said there were usually a couple near to his house so he would pop out, check and ring back.

A few minutes later the phone went and Greg confirmed he had just seen two roosting in a tree not far away, so armed with a pin for directions we set off, on the way we called at Jones Road Dam where we saw Pacific Black Duck (Anas superciliosa), Australian Wood Duck (Chenonetta jubata), Blue-billed Duck (Oxyura australis), Black Swan (Cygnus atratus), Grey Teal (Anas gracilis), Hardhead (Aythya australis), Australasian Grebe (Tachybaptus novaehollandiae), Hoary-headed Grebe (Poliocephalus poliocephalus), Eurasian Coot (Fulica atra), Masked Lapwing (Vanellus miles), Australasian Darter (Anhinga novaehollandiae), Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo), Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena) and Tree Martin (Petrochelidon nigricans).

We had a nice drive out to Greg's through some nice hills and wood valley, we arrived and Greg was waiting for us, unfortunately it was raining, the light was awful and rather muddy but that didn't matter when I saw these cracking birds sat in a tree not far from his house.
Shingleback Lizard (Tiliqua rugosa).

After taking lots of shots hoping for something usable we went back to the house for a coffee and some cakes which we picked up on the way, we had the coffee in Greg's very nice man cave before heading off and making our way to Deb's sister house where we were going to have a search for some more Orchids.
Stiff White Spider Orchid (Caladenia rigida) ????
We arrived at Petra's very nice home and she showed us around before we had some lunch and a chat, later Deb and I went for a walk out into the woodland gardens where we found three very nice species of Orchid, one of which was a new Spider species for me which I now think is Stiff White Spider Orchid (Caladenia rigida), the other two were Blue Fairy Orchid (Pheladenia deformis) and Dwarf Snail Orchid (Pterostylis nana).

We also saw Buff-rumped (Acanthiza reguloides) and Striated Thornbill (Acanthiza lineata), Grey Fantail (Rhipidura albiscapa), Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis), Grey Currawong (Strepera versicolor), Grey Shrikethrush (Colluricincla harmonica), Crescent Honeyeater (Phylidonyris pyrrhopterus), Fan-tailed Cuckoo (Cacomantis flabelliformis) and a smart Shingleback Lizard (Tiliqua rugosa) before we headed off back towards Eagle view.
Dwarf Snail Orchid (Pterostylis nana).
On the way we stopped at a place where an Olive-backed Oriole (Oriolus sagittatus) had been reported several times and it would be a good species for my SA list so Deb tells me, anyway we parked and we had a walk around the site until I spotted two birders stood at the end of a drive way.
Dwarf Snail Orchid (Pterostylis nana).
One of the Guys Richard Letheby, waved us to come up to where he and Les Woods were talking about the bird but Unfortunately it was more to do with not seeing it today, however Richard, who's drive way and fields the bird had been visiting took us out to the spot so we could give it a try anyway.
Blue Fairy Orchid (Pheladenia deformis).
We were not lucky with the Oriole but we did see Red-rumped Parrot (Psephotus haematonotus), Galah's (Eolophus roseicapilla), Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae), Little Raven (Corvus mellori), Musk Lorikeet (Glossopsitta concinna), Little Corella (Cacatua sanguinea), Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans), Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus), Australian Wood Duck, Common Bronzewing (Phaps chalcoptera), Australian Ibis (Threskiornis molucca) on the nest, Red Wattlebird (Anthochaera carunculata), Noisy Miner (Manorina melanocephala), Yellow-faced Honeyeater (Caligavis chrysops), Yellow-rumped Thornbill (Acanthiza chrysorrhoa) and a Wedge-tailed Eagle (Aquila audax).
Blue Fairy Orchid (Pheladenia deformis).
We Thanked Richard for kindly showing us the site and headed off back to the Farm where I added New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae), Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera), Superb Fairywren (Malurus cyaneus), Crested Pigeon (Ocyphaps lophotes), Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) and Red-browed Firetail (Neochmia temporalis) to the day list.
