Back down on the fields with my first Great-spotted Cuckoo of the year, a walk to collect the car.

Second Lock down Day 42, released to Provincial area.

I had another good morning in the garden and cleared the final part of the jungle, all the garden is now cleared and I now just need the garden centers to open so I can start to replant.
After lunch I started to make my way down to Huétor to collect the car after it has been had a few jobs done on it.

I walked down the road towards the bar but cut the corner off by going through the Olives where I saw good numbers of finches including Serin (Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Linnet (Pardillo Común / Carduelis cannabina), Greenfinch (Verderón Común / Carduelis chloris), Goldfinch (Jilguero / Carduelis carduelis) and Common Chaffinch (Pinzón Vulgar / Fringilla coelebs) as well as Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), Song Thrush (Zorzal Común / Turdus philomelos), Blackcap (Curruca Capirotada / Sylvia atricailla) and Woodlark (Totovia / Lullula arborea).

Down nearer to the bar I had a couple of pairs of Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata) and one of the females sat nicely for a few seconds and there were quite a few Spotless Starlings (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor) on the wires and in the trees near to the Olive cooperative plant.
Around the back of the bar and along the Arroyo I added Green Sandpiper (Andarrios Grande / Tringa ochropus), Little Ringed Plover (Chorlitejo Chico / Charadrius dubius), Little Owl (Mochuelo Europeo / Athene noctua), Little Bustards (Sisón Común / Tetrax tetrax), Common Chiffchaff (Mosquitero Común / Phylloscopus collybita), Grey Wagtail (Lavandera Cascadena / Motacilla cinerea), Iberian  Magpie (Rabilargo / Cyanopica cooki) and Water Pipit (Bisbita Alpino / Anthus spinoletta).

Amongst the Asparagus fields I found lots of Crested (Cogujada / Galerida cristata) and Skylark (Alondra Común / Alauda arvensis), White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba) and Tree Sparrows (Gorrión Molinero / Passer montanus).

I reached the road and then cut back along the far stretch of the Arroyo using the Southern track finding Migratory Locust (Locusta migratoria), Perez's Frog (Rana Común / Pelophylax perezi) which were very vocal, Spanish (Yellow) Wagtail (Lavandera Boyera / Motacilla flava iberiae), Reed Bunting (Escribano Palustre / Emberiza schoeniclus), Bluethroat (Pechiazul / Luscinia svecica), Common Moorhen (Gallineta Común / Gallinulas chloropus) and as I sat on the back to see what approached which was basically nothing (plenty flew by) I had a Great Spotted Cuckoo (Crialo Europeo / Clamator gladarius) which flew over me calling but disappeared into the olives of the far bank.

I turned back to the road and then walked down to Huétor where I collected the car and went back home.
