Chamber's Lodge, Crater Lakes National Park, Slotted Spoon in Atherton, Mount Molloy and Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge, Queensland.

Moving on to our next Lodge.
Australia, Day Twenty Eight.
 
Pale-yellow Robin (Tregellasia capito).
We again started the day with a walk around the grounds of the Lodge and up the drive way out, during this walk we had views of Fan-tailed Cuckoo (Cacomantis flabelliformis), Wompoo Fruit-Dove (Ptilinopus magnificus), Pale-yellow (Tregellasia capito) and Grey-headed Robin (Heteromyias cinereifrons), Brown Cuckoo-Dove (Macropygia phasianella), Spotted Catbird (Ailuroedus maculosus), Eastern Whipbird (Psophodes olivaceus), Little Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx minutillus), Atherton Scrubwren (Sericornis keri), Northern Fantail (Rhipidura rufiventris), Lewin's Honeyeater (Meliphaga lewinii) and best of all a pair of Grey Goshawk (Accipiter novaehollandiae) which circled above Deb and I as unfortunately Ian had gone back to collect the car as we were moving on.

Ian picked us up and we dropped to the side of Crater Lake where we parked and scanned the surrounding tree and banks of the lake finding Yellow Honeyeater (Stomiopera flava), Varied Triller (Lalage leucomela), Fairy Gerygone (Gerygone palpebrosa), Double-eyed Fig-Parrot (Cyclopsitta diophthalma), Spectacled Monarch (Symposiachrus trivirgatus) and Saw-shelled Turtles (Myuchelys latisternum).

Our next stop was for second breakfast in the Slotted Spoon in Atherton, on the way we saw Magpie-lark (Grallina cyanoleuca), Black Kite (Milvus migrans), Swamp Harrier (Circus approximans), Blue-faced Honeyeater (Entomyzon cyanotis) and the always around Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys).

After Coffee and cake in Atherton we started the drive North to our next stop over, as we drove on we saw Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita), Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae), White-breasted Woodswallow (Artamus leucorynchus), Welcome Swallow (Hirundo neoxena), Straw-necked Ibis (Threskiornis spinicollis), Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides), House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) and Crested Pigeon (Ocyphaps lophotes).

We arrived in Mount Molloy where we had some Lunch and then went for a walk along Fraser Road, right at the start in one of the Gardens I saw Red-winged Parrot (Aprosmictus erythropterus) and Double-barred Finch (Stizoptera bichenovii).

Further along the walk we had Varied Eggfly (Hypolimnas bolina),  Bar-shouldered Dove (Geopelia humeralis), Spangled Drongo (Dicrurus bracteatus), Olive-backed Sunbird (Cinnyris jugularis), Great Bowerbird (Chlamydera nuchalis), Yellow (Stomiopera flava) and Brown Honeyeater (Lichmera indistincta).

At the end of the walk near the school we had a flock of Grey-crowned Babblers (Pomatostomus temporalis), Scaly-breasted (Trichoglossus chlorolepidotus) and Rainbow Lorikeets (Trichoglossus moluccanus), Scarlet Myzomela (Myzomela sanguinolenta) and Noisy Friarbird (Philemon corniculatus).

Our final stop of the day was at the Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge where we were staying for the next few days, after getting briefing from  we unpacked and then went for a walk to a nearby spot where we looked for and found two roosting Papuan Frogmouths (Podargus papuensis) along with Eastern Cattle Egret (Bubulcus coromandus), Willie-wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys), Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) and Little Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx minutillus).

We returned to the Lodge and had a walk around the grounds finding Australian Bush-turkey (Alectura lathami), Orange-footed Scrubfowl (Megapodius reinwardt), Macleay's (Xanthotis macleayanus), Cryptic (Microptilotis imitatrix) and Yellow-spotted Honeyeater (Meliphaga notata),  Rufous Fantail (Rhipidura rufifrons), Australian Swiftlet (Aerodramus terraereginae), Pacific Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps longirostris), Chestnut-breasted Munia (Lonchura castaneothorax), Red-browed Firetail (Neochmia temporalis), Pied (Arses kaupi) and Spectacled Monarch (Symposiachrus trivirgatus), Yellow-breasted Boatbill (Machaerirhynchus flaviventer) and Topknot Pigeon (Lopholaimus antarcticus).
