Dave and I went out and checked the traps in the woods around the Bolonia area, as well as the moths (earlier post) we saw a couple of early Griffon Vultures (Bultre Leonado / Gyps fulvus), several flocks of Western Cattle Egrets (Garcilla Bueyera / Bubulcus ibis) that were heading out of their roosts and a few passing Crag Martins (Avión Roquero / Ptyonoprogne rupestris).

We did the six traps, took our photo's and all the Moths were released into the surrounding bushes before we went back to Daves place and had a coffee before I headed off North towards Chipiona.

On the way I passed by several large area of salinas areas where I saw Greater Flamingo's (Flamenco Común / Phoenicopterus roseus), Slender-billed Gulls (Gaviota Picofina / Larus genei) and lots of Black-winged Stilt (Ciguenela Común / Himantopus himantopus).

I reached the Port and spent quite a while walking around the area and the beaches either side looking through the Gulls finding Black-headed (Gaviota Riedora / Larus ridibundus), Audouin's (Gaviota de Audouin / Larus audouinii), Mediterranean Gull (Gaviota Cabecinegra / Larus melanocephalus), Lesser Black-backed (Gaviota Sombria / Larus fuscus) and Yellow-legged Gull (Gaviota Patiamarilla / Larus Michahellis), a passing Caspian Tern (Pagaza Piquiroja / Sterna caspia) and on the pontoons Ruddy Turnstones (Vuelvepiedras Común / Arenaria interpres).

On the margins amongst the trees there were Collared Dove (Tórtola Turca / Streptopelia decaocto), Woodpigeon (Paloma Torcaz / Columba palumbus), Spotless Starling (Estornino Negro / Sturnus unicolor), Black Redstart (Colirrojo Tizón / Phoenicurus ochruros), Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula), Common Chiffchaff (Mosquitero Común / Phylloscopus collybita), Jackdaw (Grajilla / Corvus monedula), Goldfinch (Jilguero / Carduelis carduelis), Greenfinch (Verderón Común / Carduelis chloris), Serin (Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Meadow Pipit (Bisbita Pratense / Anthus pratensis), Common Stonechat (Tarabilla Común / Saxicola torquata), Zitting Cisticola (Buitrón / Cisticola juncidis) and Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula).

Out on the beach I picked up Sanderling (Correlimos Tridáctilo / Calidris alba), Great Cormorant (Cormorán Grande / Phalacrocroax carbo) and out to sea I picked up a couple of Cory's Shearwaters (Pardela Cenicienta / Calonectris borealis) passing South.

I then went back to the car and headed into Sanlucar where I sorted my room at the hotel and then turned in.
