Home near Huétor Tajar, Huétor Tajar, Granada Province.

A new species for the garden.

False Smooth Snake (Macroprotodon cucullatus).
As I was filling up the wildlife pond I saw a small snake come out from under one of the mint plants and out on to the gravel where it stopped for a while giving me chance to go inside and get the camera.
False Smooth Snake (Macroprotodon cucullatus).
From the shots I identified it as a False Smooth Snake (Macroprotodon cucullatus) which I am guessing had been feeding on the tadpoles in the pol.
