Refugio de Juana and El Faro, Malaga Province.

A few hours in the hills and then down on the beach.

Crested Tit (Herrerillo Capuchino / Parus cristatus).
Jayne spent a morning shopping in the large centre down on the coast so I went up to the woodlands at Refugio de Juana where I basically sat on the edge of the boot of the car and waited to see what came by and straight away I picked up Nuthatch (Trepador Azul / Sitta europaea), Coal (Carbonero Garrapinos / Parus ater), Blue (Herrerillo Común / Parus caeruleus), Great (Carbonera Común / Parus major) and Crested Tit (Herrerillo Capuchino / Parus cristatus), Robin (Petirrojo Europeo / Erithacus rubecula), Great Spotted Woodpecker (Pico Picapinos / Dendrocopos major), Common Crossbill (Piquituerto Común / Loxia curvirostra), Song Thrush (Zorzal Común / Turdus philomelos), Sardinian Warbler (Curruca Cabecinegra / Sylvia melanocephala), White Wagtail (Lavandera Blanca / Montacilla alba), Wren (Chochin / Troglodytes troglodytes), Jay (Arrendajo / Garrulus glandarius) and Blackbird (Mirlo Común / Turdus merula).
Crested Tit (Herrerillo Capuchino / Parus cristatus).
As I dropped back down to the coast I stopped again and added Firecrest (Reyezuelo Listado / Regulus ignicapillus) and Long-tailed Tit (Mito / Aegithalos caudatus).
Coal Tit (Carbonero Garrapinos / Parus ater).
I picked Jayne up and we went along the coast towards Fuengirola where Jayne again went in to the shopping centre and I popped back to the hide on the coast and had a look at what was out to sea but there was not a great deal, in fact I was just a single Northern Gannet (Alcatraz Atlántico / Morus bassanus), Great Cormorant (Cormorán Grande / Phalacrocroax carbo), a few Sandwich Terns (Charrán Patinegro / Sterna sandvicensis), Lesser Black-backed (Gaviota Sombria / Larus fuscus), Yellow-legged (Gaviota Patiamarilla / Larus Michahellis), Mediterranean (Gaviota Cabecinegra / Larus melanocephalus) and Audouin's Gulls (Gaviota de Audouin / Larus audouinii).

Other birds were Serin (Verdecillo / Serinus serinus), Black Redstart (Colirrojo Tizón / Phoenicurus ochruros) and Meadow Pipit (Bisbita Pratense / Anthus pratensis).
